Stop paying too much for Domain Names

by Joe Moody on Nov.03, 2009, under Random Joe Moodyness

If you have been thinking about getting your own domain name (a domain is that name that starts with www, like www.google.com) then be sure to shop around before making the purchase.

You first want a company who has been in business for awhile. You also want to get a good deal, as domains are cheap and good companies know that if they give you a good deal on a domain, you’ll turn to them for website hosting, email, forum, etc.

Best deal out there I’ve found, who also offers 24/7 support,  is Publish247.com. For $7.99 a year you can have your own place on the Internet, and they also give you a free web hosting starter page.

I’ve used them for years for most of my domains. Great service.

PS: Don’t wait too long to get your domain as thousands are registered everyday. You can search for your domain name here.

by Joe Moody on Oct.20, 2009, under Random Joe Moodyness

The Internet is a tool for the mind, so it’s no surprise that it’s affecting how we think — and may enhance cognition according to a new study from UCLA. “The results suggest that searching online may be a simple form of brain exercise that might be employed to enhance cognition in older adults,” Teena D. Moody, the study’s first author and UCLA researcher, said in a statement. Check out the comparison’s of brain waves after just a little Internet use:
